Bridgnorth Aluminium was delighted to attend the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) annual dinner at Carden Park Hotel, catching up with colleagues from across the UK aluminium sector.
The evening was made even more memorable with boxing legend Frank Bruno taking to the stage as guest speaker, bringing his characteristic charisma to this gathering of industry leaders.
Despite current market challenges, there was a genuine sense of pride throughout the evening in our industry’s vital contribution to advanced manufacturing, sustainable transport, defence systems and next-generation medical products.
Bridgnorth Aluminium was honoured to be shortlisted for two awards. Our talented Alicia Stevens was a finalist in the Apprentice Rising Star Award, showcasing our commitment to developing the next generation of aluminium professionals.
And our on-site fire crew was also recognised with a nomination for the Community Impact award. The team not only safeguards our Bridgnorth facility but also supports Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service by providing valuable live training scenarios.
Although we didn’t win on this occasion, both nominations highlight our dedication to excellence in workforce development and community engagement and we’re proud to see Bridgnorth Aluminium recognised on the national stage.
Congratulations to all the winners from the evening. Events like these reinforce the importance of supporting British metals and the essential role our industry plays in the UK’s manufacturing future.
